Eucharist is the third of the Sacraments of Initiation (the others are Baptism and Confirmation). The minimum age for those who are already baptized as Catholics to receive Holy Eucharist is a child in second grade.
First through Fifth Graders: contact Children who are at least in the first grade and registered in the regular Faith Formation Program are eligible to start a two-year program to prepare for First Communion. Reception of the sacrament will take place at the end of the second year of preparation, as early as second grade.
