Welcome With the Heart of Christ
At St. Christopher’s, our Ushers & Hospitality Ministers are the first face of our parish family.
Their mission is simple and beautiful: welcome every person who enters our doors with warmth, dignity, and the joy of Christ.
Whether someone is new, returning to the Church, or a long‑time parishioner, our hospitality team helps them feel at home the moment they arrive.

What We Do?
A Ministry of Presence
Ushers and greeters serve by creating a prayerful, organized, and safe environment at every Mass. Their quiet, steady presence helps the liturgy flow smoothly and allows the assembly to focus on worship.
Before Mass
- Warmly greet parishioners and visitors
- Assist families, elderly parishioners, and newcomers
- Help distribute worship aids or envelopes
- Prepare the church environment for prayer
During Mass
- Help parishioners find seating
- Guide the Offertory procession
- Coordinate Communion flow with reverence
- Remain attentive to the needs of the assembly
After Mass
- Distribute bulletins with a friendly farewell
- Assist with questions or special needs
- Reset the worship space for the next liturgy

Who Can Serve?
This ministry is open to:
- Adults
- Teens and young adults
- Families who wish to serve together
- Bilingual volunteers (English/Spanish) are especially welcome
Training is provided, and schedules are flexible.
