who we are?St. Christopher Catholic Church is a proud member of Nevadans for the Common Good (NCG) — a non‑partisan, faith‑based coalition of congregations and community organizations working together to strengthen the quality of life for all people in Nevada.Our participation in NCG is rooted in Catholic Social Teaching, especially the call to:
- Protect the dignity of every person
- Stand with the vulnerable
- Promote justice and compassion
- Build a community where all can thrive
Through NCG, our parish joins with others across the valley to put our faith into action in practical, meaningful ways.

What do we do?
NCG brings together churches, nonprofits, and civic groups to:- Listen to the concerns of local families
- Research issues affecting our neighborhoods
- Develop leaders within our communities
- Advocate for solutions that support the common good
- Senior protection and elder care
- Affordable housing and homelessness
- Education and school safety
- Healthcare access
- Support for immigrant families
- Transportation and community resources

NCG @ St. Christopher's
As a member parish, St. Christopher’s participates by:
• Hosting listening sessions
• Sending parish leaders to NCG trainings
• Joining community meetings and assemblies
• Supporting research teams on local issues
• Encouraging parishioners to participate in non‑partisan civic engagement
Our goal is simple: to ensure the voices of our families, especially the most vulnerable, are heard in the wider community.

We invite you to join us in this mission. Parishioners can participate by:- Attending listening sessions
- Joining an NCG research or action team
- Participating in leadership training
- Attending community assemblies
- Sharing concerns that affect your family or neighborhood
No experience is needed — just a desire to help build a more just and compassionate Nevada.
